Christmas workshop

Image
Yesterday we had a Christmas workshop at Hald international center, it was a cozy event with great Christmas kinds of music. We made different things by using gingerbread. it is my first time here to see people very excited about Christmas by doing different activities to spice up the Christmas mood from the first of December.      So it feels really Christmassy here because I listen to a lot of Christmas songs, watch Christmas movies (if you want a recommendation email me :) I'm here to help you) and wait to celebrate my first white Christmas in this winter wonderland.

Where to find volunteer opportunities

“ Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.” ~Elizabeth Andrew You might have thought about volunteering once in your life but before considering applying for any program its good to ask yourself these questions; Why do you want to volunteer? In Norway, there are totally 80 Folk high schools, spread around in different parts of the country. I got a chance to live at Lundheim Folk high school located in the south. At Lundheim this year 75 young people are living ...

Three months in Norway

Living amongst the locals in Norway is definitely an experience of a lifetime because I have got to experience Norway's culture, and I am learning so much about the culture and its people. The best part is I get to meet like-minded souls from different countries at Hald international center.  The first few months I was at Hald international center where I was living and studying with people from different countries. The school offers a course of cross-culture and international work. Now I'm working at Lundheim folk school as a trainee for the six months of my internship. I got a chance to attend the Barn er bra festival in Haugesund, Norway. Barn er bra means children are good, this is the festival where children are being appreciated. I was making bracelets for the kids in the Barn er bra festival in the Inter...
